Welcome to the O’Hara Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! As a parent or guardian of an O’Hara Elementary School student, a staff member or teacher, you’re eligible to be a PTO member.
The O’Hara PTO was organized in 2001 for the purpose of:
- (a) promoting the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and community
- (b) raising the standards of home life
- (c) bringing into closer relation the home and the school, that families and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth, and
- (d) developing between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education.
To accomplish its mission, the O’Hara PTO organizes events and activities and sponsors several fundraisers throughout the year.
Get involved!
The PTO meets every month at O’Hara Elementary. Meetings alternate between morning and evening and typically last one hour. The agenda for the meeting is shared in advance. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, but we understand that isn’t always possible. If you have a question or concern you would like addressed by the PTO, feel free to contact the PTO.
