President: Jessica Simms
Jessica moved to O’Hara Township with her family in 2016. She has two children at O’Hara Elementary. Her daughter, Grace, is in 3rd grade, and her son, James, is in 2nd grade. She has served on the PTO board for 2 years, becoming President this past summer. Before becoming a mom, she had a career in executive management with Darden Restaurants. She is currently a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. Jessica enjoys being involved in her children’s school and making new friends along the way!
Vice-President: Melissa Marlo
As an O’Hara Elementary alumna, Melissa is excited to continue her journey as Vice President of the PTO. Her daughter, Ella, is in third grade, and her son, Gavin, is in kindergarten. Last year, Melissa, along with her husband Eric, brought their vision to life when they chaired O’Hara’s first annual Special Someone Dance. Melissa’s passion for helping kids flows outside of the school and into the community. As a school-based therapist, and an active board member for Blue White Ball, a Penn State Alumni group in the fight against pediatric cancer, Melissa is constantly looking for ways to have a positive impact on the lives of children.
Treasurer: Christina Marlier
Christina Marlier and her husband, Steven, are both graduates of Fox Chapel. They have three children: Hannah, second grade, Cecilia, kindergarten, and Theodore, future O’Hara student. Christina has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, both from Penn State. She is currently a Global Category Manager in Procurement at PPG.
Secretary: Becca Tobe
Becca, and her husband, Scott, are proud O’Hara parents. They have a 3rd grader (Laila) and a kindergartener (Asher). O’Hara Elementary has always been a welcoming, warm and fun community for her family. She looks forward to getting to know more families and doing her part to ensure that others have the same experience.
Communications Co-Chair: Gabrielle Ferry
Gabrielle (Gabe) Ferry and her husband Rich have three children, two O’Hara students: Ella, grade 5, Leo, grade 2, and one future fox, Annie, age 5. Gabe’s background is in mental health and she is passionate about social justice, conservation, community service, and mental and physical wellness.
Communications Co-Chair: Meredith Levy
Meredith Levy and her husband, Jason, have three children, Asher and Jack, grade 2 at O’Hara, and Rhys, future kindergartner. She has been actively involved in the PTO since her children started school. She is proud and passionate about the work the PTO does for O’Hara. In addition to her work in the PTO, Meredith also works as a nurse anesthetist in a casual position at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital.
Fundraising Chair: Dawn Dipasquale
Dawn Dipasquale and her husband, Mike, have two daughters, Maya an eight grader at DMS, and Laney, a third grader at O’Hara. Dawn has been actively involved in the PTO for nine years; she enjoys working on the yearbook and the basket fundraiser each year and has enjoyed all her years as an O’Hara mom. In addition to her dedication to the school, Dawn has a degree in English education and was a classroom teacher for 17 years; she serves on the board of Backpacks for Hunger and serves on the A & E committee at Lauri Ann West Community Center.
Advisor: Sarah Shaffer
Sarah is the immediate past president of O’Hara PTO and serves as Advisor to the Board. This is her last year at O’Hara, as her youngest child is in 5th grade. She also has an 8th grader at DMS. In addition to serving on the PTO Board, Sarah is Vice President of Aspinwall Neighbors, a community organization. She also works full time as Director of Business Development for The Rhodes Group, a global construction consulting firm headquartered in Pittsburgh.
