My teaching career started 32 years ago. 30 of those years have been at O’Hara, and all of them have been in First Grade. I love teaching first grade because the children are so eager to learn, funny, and they change and grow so much during the course of one school year.
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends.
As for favorite places to go, I don’t drink coffee, but I do visit The Coffee Tree for tea and hot chocolate. Two restaurants that I frequent are The Lot in Oakmont, Cafe Raymond’s in The Strip District, and Mitchell’s at The Waterfront.
Favorite spots in Pittsburgh: The Waterfront (biking, walking, movies, dining) and Phipps
Most needed classroom supplies: tissues and items for our classroom Art Cart
Anything else interesting: I enjoy writing and have had several pieces of my writing published.
