Please complete this form to volunteer as a homeroom representative for the 2025/2026 school year.
This volunteer role is a year-long commitment and requires clearances verified through the school.
Homeroom Representative responsibilities include:
- Communication with the classroom teacher and classroom families regarding PTO or O’Hara initiatives
- Overseeing the end of year class gift for your teacher
- Recruiting and coordinating volunteers for classroom parties, class field trips and other special events
- For classroom parties, the representative will receive information from the Party Planning Committee who will have prepared activities and materials specific for each grade and each party.
- Annual planned parties/events typically include:
- Halloween
- Winter
- Valentine’s Day
- End of the Year
- Field Day
If you are interested in volunteering as a Homeroom Representative, please email homeroom@oharapto.org.
- Each classroom will be assigned two Homeroom Representatives who are selected at random from the submissions and will work together throughout the year.
- If you have multiple students enrolled at O’Hara, please submit a request for EACH student classroom.
- Representatives will be notified in early October.
- If you are not assigned a Homeroom Representative role, there are ongoing opportunities to volunteer with your student’s class and with the PTO throughout the school year.
